I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto This house used to be one big guest house, but since this Covid19, I have stopped running the guest house and I started to live here with my wife and 2 kids. However I didn't want to quit so I left the good part. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the concept, The slope in front of the house is hard. There is stairs to go up, check online map before you book.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

There are supermarkets,drugstores convenience stores,AEON Mall,Nitori, appliance Store,post office,police station,many restaurants within walking distance.

Sleeps up to 10! Gion Shijo Station is a 1-minute walk. It is in a good location overlooking Yasaka Shrine, Chion-in, and Minamiza from the window. Pets are allowed!

Lake Biwa Lakeside villa

We have a Canadian house, just a stone through away from the beautiful Lake Biwa. Suitable place to stay for family trip, with friends and work trip. For 8guests or less, we rent 3 bed rooms (with 8 beds) For 9guests or more, we can rent the extra cabin space which is still part of the building but usually there is no access.(5 bed rooms and an attic, 12 beds and extra bathroom) please see photos and enquire within. - No Party - No BBQ after 9pm

The guesthouse is located in the concentrated scenic area of Higashiyama District. It's a 5-minute walk to the Kamo River, and renowned attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ninen-zaka, Kyoto National Museum, and Sanjusangendo Temple are all within about 15 minutes on foot. The bustling downtown area of Gion and Shijo Kawaramachi can also be reached by walking. The surrounding environment is beautiful, and transportation is convenient!
