Calf cabin- Unique and beautiful farmstead!

Countryside getaway! If you want to experience something unique during your trip to Iceland this little house has been repurposed as guest house. On our farm it has always been called the Calf cabin, as it was used as a small barn and a stable in the past. On the outside we preserved the old rock laying and the architecture style but mixed old and new styles on the inside. We recycled and repurposed as much material as possible and we are pleased with the outcome. Now it is a cozy little suite.

New top floor apartment on a sheep farm .

Four bedroom apartment with one kitchen and one bathroom that sleeps up to 9 people in either made up beds or you can bring your own sleeping bags. The apartment is on the top floor in this farmhouse that was built in 1960. At the farm are around 200 sheep in the winter time, 8-10 horses, 1 dog and 1 cat. This farm is 15-20 minute drive from the beautiful Þjórsárdalur that is the start of the Sprengisandur highland road. Nearest towns are Árnes 9 km, Flúðir 25 km and Selfoss 50 km away.

Eyvindartunga farm cottage - renewable energy

This charming family cottage is close to many of the natural wonders in the South of Iceland, the "Golden Circle". Like many old traditional farms in Iceland, Eyvindartunga is a sheep farm. Fourth generation lives on the farm, with ewes who roam freely with their lambs during summer. Since the year 1929 we have been harnessing the river Sandá, producing now annually ca. 5 GWh of electrical energy for both the farm itself and the nearby area, including the nearby village Laugarvatn.

Middle of nowhere, and yet it is only 22 km. drive from Reykjavik center. Many points of interest are within easy reach like the Golden Circle.

Country camper suite í Dalabyggð

The working farm Nedri-Hundadalur is located 120 km west of Reykjavik. We are in the center of Snæfellsnes, Borgarfjörður and West fjords. We offer a camper suite, with kitchen and wc. Outside the camper is a hot tub, you can use, just let us know if you want. The sleeping space is for 4 slit to two grown ups and two children. The environment is beautiful and peaceful.
