Set on 8.5 acres of rolling farmland with large mature trees for privacy. Whether you’re seeking romance, family adventure, or a quiet escape from the world, Wildberry Cottage is an unforgettable destination.
The space
Peaceful and cosy. Wildberry Cottage is nestled under a tree on the top of a hill, large windows and a spacious deck give you views overlooking the surrounding farm.
Inside, the cottage is warm, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need for a relaxing getaway — from a fully equipped kitchen to high-quality bed linen & towels, heated bathroom floors, and beautiful Scandi-inspired décor.
Guests rave about the generous touches: fresh farm eggs & milk, honey, walnuts, pantry essentials, toys for little ones, and all the comforts that make you feel instantly at home.
Beneath the outdoor skylights, soak in the bathtub while gazing at the stars above. Wrap yourself in soft, spa-style bathrobes afterwards. You can find these in the wardrobe ready for your use. Homemade bath salts are also provided.
Stay in and enjoy the tranquillity, or explore Rotorua’s geothermal wonders, forests, lakes, and world-class attractions just a short drive away.

You can drive right up to the cottage so no walking is required. There is a lockbox by the front door for your use.
Other things to note
Feel free to walk around the farm. You can feed the sheep by hand – sheep nuts are provided at the cottage. Let us know if you'd like to collect farm-fresh eggs for yourself.
We have a sheep dog named Ruby who may come and visit you. She is obsessed with her tennis ball and may turn up at the cottage for some playtime. Please let us know before your arrival if you are not comfortable with dogs.
Wildberry Cottage is also open for elopements, micro weddings and small weddings near Rotorua NZ.

Your hosts at Wildberry Cottage are Paul and Sarah. For six years, this special piece of paradise has been their home, where they live with their three children Colin, Audrey & Mathilda and their dog Ruby & cat Spotty.
Mostly busy being a mum & looking after the cottage, Sarah also enjoys trail running or mountain biking in the forest. Paul works in the Beef Genetics Product Lead at LIC in Hamilton, and loves doing farm jobs on the weekends.
