Set beside two stables, a tack room, and paddock, this is a natural base for equestrian guests — but equally good for anyone wanting a quiet rural retreat near the coast. Bring your horse and head out onto nearby trails, with stable and paddock use available at $25 per horse per night (max 2, message us before booking). No horse? The studio, pool, and coast are just as good without one.
The studio has its own private bathroom, wifi, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests also have access to the kitchen and laundry, and a continental breakfast is included each morning. When you're done for the day, the shared pool and outdoor deck are perfect for unwinding with the rolling Glenbervie hills behind you.
The Tutakaka Coast — beaches, diving, fishing, and boat trips out to the Poor Knights Islands — is just a short drive away. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge; please keep them under control around the stables and paddock.

Guests have exclusive use of the private studio and adjacent bathroom, plus the two stables, tack room, and paddock. Access to the shared kitchen and laundry is available by arrangement. The pool and outdoor deck are shared with the property and available during your stay.

Meet your host
Hi, we're Ken and Lisa — owners of Tutakaka Coast & Country. We took on this Glenbervie property to share what we love: horses, hills, and the coast nearby. With stables, paddocks, and a pool to unwind in after riding, we've built a stay that's properly looked after but still relaxed. We're dog people ourselves, so a rescue dog might say hello. We're on hand if you need us, but otherwise happy to leave you to enjoy the quiet.
