Quail Cottage is nestled in our established garden the Cottage is self contained and separate from the main house.
The space
Quail Cottage is a modern designed house built by a local family company using local suppliers making for the perfect base for your Hawke’s Bay getaway. Bespoke design elements are evident inside and out. Parking is in the driveway of the main house which is entered by a 400m driveway so is well away from the main road. The Cottage is a short walk (20m)past the main house.
The kitchen is centred in the high ceiling open plan living dining and has plenty bench space with 2 burner gas cooktop, extractor fan oven, microwave and fridge freezer it has everything you need for your stay.The dining table can comfortably sit 4 people or be used as a place to work on your laptop.There is a generous 3 seater sofa and 50 inch smart tv and heat pump/ac. There are 2 sets of ranch sliding doors which open onto the front and side decks - the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
The cottage has a large bedroom with queen size bed with usb charging points on one side and concealed wardrobe with plenty hanging space for clothes.
The bathroom is an open plan wet room with vanity unit, toilet, wall mounted heater and extractor fan.
The Cottage includes: Linen, towels, toiletries (shampoo, body wash, hand wash ) tea, coffee, milk, dishwashing liquid and when available seasonal fruit from the garden.
We are conveniently located with a 10-15 min drive to Hastings, Napier or Taradale. The township of Clive is 3 k away and offers an excellent 4 Square, vegetable shop, BP petrol station, Big Barrel, laundrette, pub, and fish and chip shop. Although we are rural Uber eats will deliver. There is also an indoor swimming pool and Clive Tennis Club where casual play can be booked. Many of the local cycle ways are close by.
Please note that the cottage is located beside a working orchard so at certain times of the year there may be tractor noise and orchard workers picking or thinning. They are very efficient and do not work after 5pm.
We have a zero tolerance for unauthorised parties or events and you will be asked to vacate the property if there is reason for us to suspect guest misconduct.
Strictly no smoking or vaping indoors. If you smoke outdoors, please do so responsibly.
No more than the number of guests booked, to a maximum of 2. Additional charges will apply if you exceed the number booked.
There is no BBQ at this property.
The Smart TV is internet based apps only which you require your own log in details for - Netflix, Neon, You Tube, On Demand etc.
Rubbish and recycling - we do not have council collection so please be mindful of how much you leave.
Electric Vehicle Charging- We are unable to accommodate electrical vehicle charging at the property.
For any personal belonging/s that are left at the property, there is a $40 (regardless of size) minimum return fee + courier bag/packaging. This is to cover travel and time to the post office + administering the return charge.
