Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Room in a farm stay
Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Living within the vines !! A beautiful self-contained studio with an elevated deck to enjoy the amazing sunsets over the vineyard. Right next to one of Hawke's Bays cycleways and 9 wineries within short distance. Bike hire is just around the corner “On Yer Bike”. Phil delivers the bikes to your cabin if you wish. Just let Phil know you are staying at Oak Estate to arrange drop of and pick up times. By car to Hastings: 10 min, Havelock North: 15 min and Napier: 20 -25 min.
The space
Modern sleepout, completely separate to the main house with own bathroom, entrance and deck.
Microwave, kettle and coffee plunger are provided, but no cooking facilities. Please note, that you are going to stay on a working vineyard, with tractors, quads, frostfans and customers visiting our cellar door and bistro ( next to sleepout ). Chickens and Roosters on site too.
Guest access
Free parking. Shared outdoor grass area. Complimentary wine tasting at the cellar door of Oak Estate during opening hours ( at the moment Thursdays - Sundays, bookings recommended ). Amazing sunrise and sunsets as well as star gazing on clear nights.
During your stay
We work on site in the vineyard and tasting room/ bistro.
Other things to note
Please note, that you are staying on a property which is very busy during October - April with a 7 day operating business. Opening hours of the cellar door vary during the season but usually 11:00 - 5pm and sometimes open for functions in the evening. The tractor might start at 7am, but not every day...we are very weather dependent, we do work Sundays. During spring on frosty nights, the frostfans are going....and from January onwards the bird scare. We also have 2 roosters on site.
