The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

We do allow hypoallergenic small dogs (2 max), non-shedding, 25 lbs. or less, each w/ proof of shot records, please bring a kennel with you. There is a non refundable $25.00 per dog fee.

Dog friendly up to 25 lbs. ($50). This remodeled 2 bedroom cottage still hosts the original knotty pine ceiling. Beautiful water views surround you on 3 sides. The screened in porch off the master bedroom will quickly become your favorite hang out for coffee, wine, sunsets and relaxation. Out the back door your will find a nice deck for grilling and a handy little outside shower! Due to the natural nature in this area, cars and swimming is not permitted from the property. NO CATS.
