Ydilische Bed and Breakfast Walden (walden is the Frisian word for forests) is located in the National landscape Northern Frisian forests. Characteristic is the ‘smûke' backdrop landscape with thousands of kilometres of elk collectors, dykswâlen (wood walls) and hundreds of pingos and pools. The area has unique flora and fauna. The biodiversity here is great. A short distance from Groningen, Leeuwarden, Dokkum and the Ydillian Wadden Islands. The surroundings are very suitable for walking, cycling, canoeing.

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. A wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Sleeping on the floor of a teahouse - Teetún de Hollen -; a whole experience. Downstairs is a large living area with open kitchen. The teahouse is located in a rural area where a lot of cycling and walking is done. The tea garden is therefore open to guests in the summer months. Small scale, hospitality, low threshold are words that fit our location. Peace and space is what guests find with us.
