It is an inn near the old Nakasendo road, which has a good old streetscape. When I was busy working as an interior coordinator, I wanted you to have a relaxing time, and I wanted to recreate the rich and relaxing time I spent at my grandmother's house as a child. The quaint and retro atmosphere unique to the old house is arranged in a living room. Nearby, you can enjoy a walk in the Kawaramachi area, which is lined with renovated machiya cafes and bakeries, and the Nagara River, which is famous for Ukai (Ukai is from May to October). It is a charming area with lots of nature and fields. Experience the nostalgic life of real Japan, not Japan that was made. We will rent one building, so please have a relaxing time with your family, partners, and groups. The convenience store is about a 4-minute drive away. The supermarket is about an 8-minute drive away. Getting to tourist destinations is Shirakawa-go about 2 hours by car About 2 hours by car from Hida Takayama Gifu Castle is about a 15-minute drive away Legoland 1 hour by car about 1hr drive to Ghibli Park You can also use it as a base for sightseeing in Nagoya and Gifu.

My house is in Tagami, Gifu City, originally started out as "Our House." My lovely bride, Akemi Doyle, passed away recently after fighting a bought with cancer. It was her dream of hers to live-in an open floor planned house. This house would serve as our home base while living in Japan. It would also allow use to travel, & explore our glorious planet, too. When not traveling, we would open our home to other world explorers, leaving their marks on our home. Thus, begins a new chapter in Tagami.

This is a new guesthouse built in 2019, located 3 minutes' walk from Gifu Hashima Station. It offers a combination of Japanese and Western styles, with a 40 square meter private room or family room that has a stylish small attic with tatami mats and a modern atmosphere with sofas. The room is perfect for families with small children, couples, and groups. There is also a 100 inch projector in the rooms for watching movies on YouTube. From here, popular Asano Kajiya is a 10-minute walk away.

New house, near Gifu station

Property is a brand new built house centrally located near Gifu station and easy to reach by foot or bus. You can walk ( 20min ) or use Bus ( 10min) or, if You announce in time and I am available, I may be able to pick you up from station by car. I have 3 bed rooms. Two normal bed room and one Tatami room. There are very nice Fire works 2 times a year end of July and beginning of August; also I can rent and dress You up in colorful Kimonos (￥4500) as shown in the pictures for photo-shooting.

A Clean & Friendly house in Gifu /convenient/quiet

I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!
