Multnomah Zen, a four waterfall scenic hiking experience
Multnomah Falls and other waterfalls and vistas of the Columbia Gorge are astonishing icons of geology, the sort that have inspired mythology and lore of warriors, gods and passions. We will drive out in our vans to meet the tallest waterfall in the state, and then drive to a few of the shorter but even more stunning ones, too; falls which could only be the daughters and sons of legend. In this half-day experience, we will explore wonders with some short hikes (totaling less than 2.5 miles/4 km) and visits to overlooks and vistas that will have you gasping in awe. While Multnomah Falls and its iconic Benson Bridge are together the most-visited tourist attraction in the Portland area, they are only a part of our experience. We will meet at our shop in inner SE Portland, where we'll ride in our comfortable Sprinter and Transit vans to the nearby gorge. Depending on weather conditions, we will visit a few small hidden waterfalls and spectacular plunge-style falls whose columnar basalt has us learning words for "amazing" in other languages. We'll also tell you stories, geology, botany and oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and wild spirits and about the oldest North American civilization, forever altered by “manifest destiny." Please note we book directly as well as through AirBNB, and your group may be up to 10.

Chef Tour of Pike Place Market
We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest. Other things to note: The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions. Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place! We do book private tours for 9-16 people. Please direct message us to learn more. Gratuity is not included in the price. Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union. There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down. This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer. If you have to drive and park please leave a lot of extra time in the high season. The lots do fill up. Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.

Every dollar of our tour tickets goes to our work - savings lives, giving sanctuary and building community. Our residents come to us so often from abuse, abandonment and neglect. You support and visits help to provide the best hay and feed, safe warm structures, and vet care. Please Note! Sometimes The Muddy Pug can be...muddy, even in the summer. Please dress in layers with clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Boots or waterproof shoes are ideal. This is a great outing for families, groups and teams!

Magical Nature Portrait Session
Join me for a one-of-a-kind nature infused, fine art embodiment photoshoot! Not very comfortable in front of the camera? Thats my specialty! I employ mindfulness techniques throughout the entire experience to offer a sense of ease and hold an empowering energy. The session begins at the trailhead where we greet each other and set a personal intention for the experience. A meditative nature walk brings us to a peaceful spot where we sit for a moment of reflection followed by a brief breathwork session to ignite the creative spirit. Utilizing both activating and calming/centering practices the breathwork session sets the stage for the following creative expression. Now that we are in the present moment and feeling calm, yet invigorated, the photoshoot set up begins. Playing off the natural light, found elements and fabrics we adorn the scene to meet the collective asthetic. I then direct a mindful photoshoot, centered on empowerment, freedom, strength and grace among natures gifts. Wrapping up the exhilarating, creative session with a moment of reflection as we hike out together. Following the experience I provide a publishable digital photo-gallery to share, display and remind you of the creation and expression of the experience. Leaving you with fine art works that highlight YOU and your unique spirit with a sense of inner balance and heightened creativity.
