Unwind in our beautifully designed, Nordic-inspired cabin nestled at the Head of Lyttelton Harbour, just 20 minutes from Christchurch City. Perfect for a peaceful retreat, this cosy cabin offers modern simplicity amidst wild, untamed landscapes.
Located on a former forestry block undergoing restoration into native bush and open pasture, the cabin invites you to reconnect with nature. Enjoy a rustic, off-the-beaten-path experience surrounded by unmanicured beauty and native birdsong.
The space
Fully off-grid, the cabin runs on solar power and features an incinerating toilet, designed to minimise its impact on the environment and ensure a sustainable stay. Despite being off the grid, the cabin is equipped with all the essentials you’d expect. You'll have a fridge, cooktop, lighting, hot and cold water, and a shower with excellent pressure.
To enhance your stay, the cabin also features a beautifully crafted New Zealand-made Roaring Meg log burner, perfect for cosy evenings. A selection of books and board games is provided, offering a chance to unwind and reconnect, free from modern distractions.
Whether you’re looking to relax on the deck, explore nearby walking trails, or stargaze under clear night skies, Repose x Head of the Bay offers the perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. Ideal for couples, solo travellers, or anyone seeking a tranquil retreat close to the city but far from the everyday hustle.
Please note: Due to the cabin being off-grid and powered by solar the only charging options available are USB, there are no 230v outlets.
