Designed to accommodate both couples and families with teenage children, Manatu offers flexible bedroom configurations to suit your needs.

The space
Manatu draws inspiration from traditional Polynesian architecture to create a naturally comfortable and sustainable indoor environment. High ceilings, concrete construction, gable vents, and insect-proof louvred windows work together to moderate the temperature and bring the outside in.

At the same time, modern conveniences are at your fingertips. Enjoy unlimited Starlink Wi-Fi, a Netflix-enabled smart TV, and an Alexa speaker system for music and information in the main room — all the comforts of home, right here in paradise.

Shaun and Lorna began their Rarotonga dream in 2005, building a small cottage that became the base for family holidays and island adventures. Two decades later, in 2025, we replaced that much-loved cottage with Manatu, our brand-new holiday home. We’re based in Nelson, New Zealand, and we hope you enjoy your stay in our little slice of paradise.
